The F&B Bar and Restaurant Front of House (FOH) Supervisor position is a pivotal role within the conference center’s food and beverage operations. This supervisory role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating front-of-house activities in both the bar and restaurant settings, assuring a consistently high-quality guest experience. The supervisor works closely with multiple departments such as banquet and catering teams to facilitate smooth operations during high-volume events as well as routine service periods.
The role demands a strong presence on the floor to engage directly with guests, address concerns promptly, and ensure that all service aligns with the professional standards expected at a premier conference center location. Staff leadership is a critical aspect of this position, including recruiting, training, mentoring, and motivating front-of-house team members. In addition to operational oversight and team management, the supervisor is responsible for monitoring inventory, assisting with ordering, and maintaining cost control through efficient labor management and minimizing waste. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in hospitality or conference center environment
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including alcohol compliance
- Familiarity with POS and financial reporting
- Ability to handle guest issues professionally
- ServSafe or equivalent certification is preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring efficiency and consistency during high-volume service periods
- Coordinate with banquet and catering teams to support group dining and conference-related events
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local and corporate policies
- Maintain a strong floor presence to engage with guests, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction
- Uphold service standards and ensure staff deliver a polished, professional experience aligned with conference center expectations
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with discretion and professionalism
- Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring front-of-house staff
- Lead pre-shift huddles to communicate daily goals, group schedules, safety moments, and service expectations
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies, beverages, and equipment
- Support cost control efforts, including labor management and waste reduction
- Assist with cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily reporting
- Liaise with kitchen, banquet, and conference services teams to ensure coordinated service delivery
- Participate in inter-departmental meetings and contribute to operational planning and guest service strategies and insights
