Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Or a 4-year college degree
  • Or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience
  • Long hours sometimes required
  • Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests
  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attend all hotel-required meetings and trainings
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with hotel standards to encourage safe and efficient operations
  • Maximize productivity and assist in problem solving
  • Handle problems including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving
  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex information
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Or a 4-year college degree
  • Or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle guest and employee concerns attentively and courteously
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of local liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • Experience in staff training and performance management
  • Familiarity with F&B operations and loss prevention practices
  • Proven leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet
  • Supervise outlet personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of issues as they arise
  • Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring attention
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring all phases of Loss Prevention in the outlet
  • Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure preparation of reports including wage progress, payroll, revenue, employee schedules, and quarterly action plans
  • Monitor quality of service in F&B outlet
  • Assist in menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs in all outlets
  • Ensure compliance with requisition procedures
  • Be visible on the floor and assist staff during each meal period
  • Conduct staff performance reviews
  • Ensure training of employees on SOPs and job tasks
  • Conduct departmental and hotel training
  • Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions
  • Complete tip reporting
  • Implement and monitor corporate promotions
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
