Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree
- Or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience
- Long hours sometimes required
- Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attend all hotel-required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with hotel standards to encourage safe and efficient operations
- Maximize productivity and assist in problem solving
- Handle problems including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree
- Or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle guest and employee concerns attentively and courteously
- Multitasking and prioritization skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of local liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
- Experience in staff training and performance management
- Familiarity with F&B operations and loss prevention practices
- Proven leadership and supervisory abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet
- Supervise outlet personnel
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of issues as they arise
- Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring attention
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring all phases of Loss Prevention in the outlet
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Ensure preparation of reports including wage progress, payroll, revenue, employee schedules, and quarterly action plans
- Monitor quality of service in F&B outlet
- Assist in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
- Ensure compliance with SOPs in all outlets
- Ensure compliance with requisition procedures
- Be visible on the floor and assist staff during each meal period
- Conduct staff performance reviews
- Ensure training of employees on SOPs and job tasks
- Conduct departmental and hotel training
- Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions
- Complete tip reporting
- Implement and monitor corporate promotions
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
