Job Description

The Chicago Blackhawks, established in 1926 as one of the NHL's Original Six teams, are a distinguished professional ice hockey organization based in Chicago, Illinois. With a rich legacy marked by six Stanley Cup Championships (1934, 1938, 1961, 2010, 2013, 2015), the team is a member of the Central Division in the NHL's Western Conference and plays its home games at the iconic United Center. Beyond the ice, the Blackhawks organization is deeply invested in community engagement, youth hockey development, and honoring its heritage, including a meaningful partnership with the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma to celebrate and support Native American communities. The team fosters a culture grounded in core values such as integrity, curiosity, empathy, collaboration, and originality, aiming to create legendary and inclusive fan experiences that resonate both on and off the ice.

We are seeking a dedicated Fan Events Team Member to join the Events & Entertainment department for the 2026-27 NHL season. This part-time, seasonal position offers up to 34 hours per week and is based on-site at the United Center and Blackhawks Ice Arena in Chicago, IL. The role provides an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in events or sports careers to gain practical, hands-on experience within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a member of the Fan Events and Experiences Team, you will serve as the frontline ambassador representing the Chicago Blackhawks at various events including home games, watch parties, community engagements, youth hockey activities, and brand promotions.

Your responsibilities will revolve around the meticulous setup, execution, and teardown of event activations, ensuring every event runs smoothly and delivers exceptional experiences to fans and attendees. Key duties include supporting in-game promotions and marketing activities during Blackhawks and Steel home games, coordinating entertainment segments such as TV timeouts and intermissions, and assisting with pre- and post-game initiatives like Jr. Hawks programming and ticketing promotions. This role demands adaptability to fluctuating schedules that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with the NHL game calendar and team events.

The ideal candidate should possess a sharp attention to detail, an ability to thrive under pressure, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Demonstrating the Chicago Blackhawks' core values is crucial, as you will be representing a storied organization committed to excellence, diversity, and community impact. This opportunity not only provides valuable event management experience but also a chance to be part of a storied sports franchise renowned for its dedication to fans and community involvement. Compensation is $17.05 per hour, and the team welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
