Job Description
The YMCA is a well-established, cause-driven organization renowned for its commitment to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Established with a mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, the YMCA has grown into one of the most recognized nonprofit organizations focused on enhancing the lives of individuals and families. The Learning Center, a vital part of the YMCA's outreach, specializes in providing safe, nurturing child care and educational opportunities that foster growth, learning, and social interaction among children. With a focus on family engagement and quality care, The Learning Center serves as a trusted resource for families seeking supportive child care environments.
The Learning Center Family Service Representative plays a pivotal role within this environment by serving as the first point of contact for families and visitors. This position is essential in making families feel welcomed, valued, and supported from the moment they enter the facility. Emphasizing stellar customer service, this role requires handling data entry tasks, maintaining accurate records, and promoting the center's programs and offerings to families. The Family Service Representative not only manages administrative tasks such as processing payments, updating family ledgers, and ensuring compliance with child care regulations, but also acts as a bridge between families and the center's administrative staff to guarantee smooth communication and satisfactory service.
This position demands candidates to bring previous administrative and customer service experience, particularly within child care or a similar setting. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrate professional conduct at all times, and use technology such as MS Office and specific child care management systems like EZCare2 is essential. The role requires proactive engagement and understanding of family needs, allowing representatives to provide tailored support that enhances the overall family experience.
Working at The Learning Center offers more than just a job; it provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. The YMCA supports its employees with a competitive wage plan and fosters a challenging yet enjoyable workplace culture. The team environment is enriched by creative, talented, and diverse individuals who share a passion for community service and positive impact. This role is particularly suited for individuals seeking to build a rewarding career in child care administration, customer service, or nonprofit work, where their efforts contribute directly to the well-being and development of youth.
By joining the YMCA as a Family Service Representative at The Learning Center, employees become part of a legacy of care and dedication that has a lasting impact on the community. The position offers an engaging career path that combines administrative proficiency with heartfelt service, making every day meaningful and impactful. Furthermore, the YMCA’s strong policies on safety, including mandated child abuse reporting, level 2 background checks, and compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements for staff working with children, underline its commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all.
