Job Description

Zeta is a dynamic educational organization committed to transforming public education in New York City and beyond. Our mission centers on achieving a harmonious balance between high academic achievement and social-emotional development for each student, ensuring every child receives a world-class education while fostering a genuine love for learning. Currently operating multiple elementary and middle schools across the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens, Zeta is dedicated to continued growth with plans to open one to two new schools annually. We firmly believe that children from all communities deserve access to excellent and equitable education opportunities.

At Zeta, we cultivate a purpose-driven, collaborative environment where passion meets professionalism. Our team members are lifelong learners united by a shared commitment to revolutionizing the educational experience, emphasizing flexibility, growth, and excellence. We hold ourselves to a high standard and prioritize collaboration, humility, and dedication to the collective success of our organization. Our work culture encourages openness to feedback, child-like joy, and relentless determination to not only meet but exceed our goals.

The role of the bilingual Family Outreach & Enrollment Associate/Manager at Zeta is integral to our continued impact and expansion. Based primarily in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan, this position focuses on in-person community outreach and engagement, a critical component of our Family Outreach and Enrollment team. This role demands increased flexibility to conduct outreach activities in diverse communities, nurturing strong connections with families and community-based organizations. While this position is predominantly in-person, there may be occasional opportunities for remote work depending on the responsibilities.

The Family Outreach & Enrollment Associate/Manager will champion Zeta's vision by developing and executing strategic outreach initiatives aimed at engaging prospective families. Key duties include coordinating and leading direct community outreach, managing relationship-building with local organizations, planning family engagement events, assisting with Zeta's admissions lottery and enrollment processes, and preparing communications for diverse stakeholder groups. Additionally, the role involves collecting and analyzing data to continually enhance outreach strategies and supporting other team members as part of a growing, scale-up team environment.

This position requires proficiency in English and Spanish, strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience in sales or customer service, ideally within educational or social service contexts. Candidates must be comfortable working extensively on foot in the communities served, with the physical capacity to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Proficiency with Google Suite and spreadsheet management is expected. The salary range for this role is $66,500 to $85,000 annually, with compensation commensurate with experience and internal equity.

Working at Zeta offers more than just a job; it is an opportunity to be a change agent in education, surrounded by passionate colleagues committed to excellence and equity. We provide comprehensive benefits, wellness perks, and a supportive environment that emphasizes personal and professional growth, including clear career pathways, a feedback-rich culture, and mindfulness and diversity programming. Join us to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives and help shape the future of public education in New York City and beyond.
