The campus is now seeking a full-time instructor for the hospitality, culinary, and baking department. This onsite position requires candidates to be physically present in the St. Louis area starting immediately. The role entails working closely with the culinary, hospitality, and baking programs to deliver instruction in both lecture settings and active lab environments. This instructor will play a vital part in shaping the educational journey of students, blending theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills essential to succeed in the fast-paced culinary and hospitality industry. Their contributions will be integral to sustaining the program's ACF accreditation while supporting the ongoing upgrades to the campus’ educational resources.
As a full-time faculty member, the instructor will engage in a broad range of responsibilities that contribute to student success and program excellence. These include preparing and teaching classes according to established course objectives, developing and grading assessments, providing academic advisement, and participating in various departmental and college-wide activities. The position demands a dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment through student conferences, recruitment efforts, and sponsorship of extracurricular activities.

- Bachelor's degree with major in subject field and two years of full-time college teaching experience and one year of related full-time work experience
- or bachelor's degree with major in subject field and four years of full-time related work experience
- ServSafe Food Manager certified

Job Duties
- Full-time faculty duties and responsibilities including formal course contact teaching hours
- preparation and planning for instructing assigned classes in accordance with course objectives
- preparing and correcting examinations and other student work assignments
- scheduling student conferences to review individual student progress
- assistance in student academic advisement
- participation in departmental selection of course texts, instructional equipment, library books and non-print resource materials
- participation in departmental development, evaluation and revision of course objectives and outlines, instructional strategies, and systems of evaluation of student learning
- participation on other departmental, divisional, campus and college-wide activities
- appropriate assistance to part-time faculty
- assistance in student recruitment, job placement or transfer placement
- sponsorship of student activities, groups or clubs
- attendance at faculty meetings and institutional ceremonies or meetings
- participation in community activities
- perform other normal professional responsibilities as may be appropriate
