The company fosters a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive work environment providing every teammate with exceptional opportunities for professional growth, development, and career advancement. Boeing's culture emphasizes collaboration, safety, and sustainability, ensuring it maintains high standards in all aspects of its operations.

Boeing is currently seeking to hire a 2nd Shift Factory Service Attendant, also known as a Custodian, to join their Factory Services team in Everett, WA. This is an onsite hourly position covering varied company facilities and work environments including offices, factories, cafeterias, fitness centers, restrooms, and transportation tunnels. The Factory Service Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of Boeing's vast facilities, which is essential in supporting a productive and safe workplace for all employees.

This role involves performing routine custodial duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, and handling hazardous materials with approved safety methods. Training is provided, particularly for blood-borne pathogen cleanup and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. The selected individual will operate various cleaning machinery, including backpack vacuums, buffers, and carpet extractors, to ensure all surfaces—from hard floors to carpets—are properly maintained. This position requires physical tasks like lifting up to 35 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 45 pounds, reaching overhead, standing, walking, bending, and using hand tools repetitively throughout the day.

As part of Boeing's commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance, this role must meet export control compliance requirements. Candidates should be U.S. Persons as defined by export laws and able to work 100% onsite. The position is union governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751) and offers competitive pay with a range from $20.32 to $27.11 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive wages, Boeing provides comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, retirement savings plans, tuition assistance, fertility and adoption benefits, and generous company match programs for 401(k) savings.

Factory Services is considered an excellent entry point for individuals looking to start a career within Boeing, opening up multiple internal transfer opportunities after a year. This role not only provides foundational skills but also access to further training which can support advancement to higher-level positions in the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will be a high school graduate or have a GED, possess a valid driver's license, and demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully. Experience in janitorial or custodial work and handling hazardous materials is preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided.

Candidates should be prepared for variable shifts covering 1st or 2nd shift and must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense as relocation assistance is not offered. Boeing is a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment drug testing consistent with company policy.

Joining Boeing's Factory Services team as a Factory Service Attendant offers a unique opportunity to be part of an iconic company dedicated to innovation and excellence while building a rewarding career with strong benefits and a supportive, diverse work culture.
