Performance Team is a leading company specializing in warehousing and distribution logistics, committed to maintaining a culture founded on honesty, integrity, and trust. The company values its employees greatly, fostering a family-like environment that encourages loyalty, collaboration, and continuous improvement. With a broad strategic network of storage facilities, Performance Team efficiently handles end-to-end logistics needs by integrating advanced storage, processing, and shipment capabilities to build resilience and flexibility within supply chain operations. Their approach to logistics ensures preparedness for supply chain risks and optimal distribution, enabling them to meet demanding lead times and customer goals despite unforeseen conditions.

The core focus of Performance Team is on operational excellence within warehousing and transportation, supported by extensive industry expertise across multiple sectors and transportation modes. This foundation allows the company to deliver cost-effective, time-saving logistics solutions that meet diverse customer requirements. In particular, the company emphasizes Ecommerce and Omni Channel fulfillment, reflecting modern retail and distribution trends. The role offered is that of an Operations Manager responsible for overseeing the operational functions at a distribution facility. This is a full-time position with an anticipated annual salary range of $120,000 to $125,000, which may be adjusted based on market conditions and location. The Operations Manager will be entrusted with ensuring the quality, productivity, safety, loss prevention, and strong employee relations within the facility. They will also manage rapid carton throughput for import deconsolidation and domestic consolidation, while ensuring on-time delivery and efficient store delivery processes. A strong collaboration with port management is required to facilitate seamless drayage services, supporting domestic pickup and delivery functions effectively.

Operational control extends to financial management including budgeting and profit and loss (P&L) responsibility. The manager will analyze operational expenses aggressively, ensuring cost-effective solutions while safeguarding against operational delays. They will supervise both direct and indirect staff, fostering a high-trust, high-performance culture through proper mentoring, coaching, and performance management.

The role demands extensive experience in transportation and warehouse management, particularly within a 3PL (third-party logistics) environment, and proficiency with warehouse and transportation management systems (WMS, TMS, YMS). Familiarity with Lean techniques and continuous improvement methodologies is vital to drive operational enhancements. Safety compliance and regulatory adherence are also key parts of the manager's oversight, ensuring all employees are trained and workplace practices meet required standards.

Performance Team prides itself on diversity and inclusion, promoting equal opportunity without discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, or other protected characteristics. The company also provides accommodations during the hiring process to ensure accessibility for all applicants. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, a 401k plan with company match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, and flexible work schedules where possible.

This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking to be part of a supportive, dynamic organization that values employees while driving operational excellence in the logistics and supply chain industry.
