The Facility Engineer role at Life Time offers a dynamic opportunity for professionals passionate about maintaining safe, efficient, and inviting club environments. This position requires hands-on expertise across multiple facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, boilers, electrical systems, and recreational pools. The Facility Engineer plays a crucial part in safeguarding members and staff by ensuring all mechanical and safety systems comply with relevant local, state, and company standards. Beyond routine repairs, the role demands responsiveness to emergency situations, meticulous record-keeping using CMMS software, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.

This is an hourly role with wages starting at $28.00 per hour, increasing up to $38.50 depending on experience and qualifications. Job Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of facility maintenance experience or equivalent training
  • state approved boiler/engineers license preferred
  • CFC certification
  • aquatics facilities operator certification (AFO) or certified pool operator (CPO)
  • ability to routinely bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • 3 to 4 years of facility maintenance experience or equivalent training

  • ability to routinely bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
  • trade or technical school degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Inspects repairs and maintains HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical systems and recreational pools
  • ensures chemistry and temperature control of the recreational pools comply with state, local and company requirements
  • ensures the safety of buildings, staff and members by ensuring fire and alarm protection devices follow the standards of local and state regulations and building codes
  • responds to repair requests and prioritizes emergency repairs
  • records all repair and preventative maintenance into the CMMS software
