The Facility Attendant position at the Lovettsville Community Center offers a full-time opportunity to play an integral role in managing the facility's day-to-day operations. Reporting to a designated supervisor, the Facility Attendant provides excellent customer service to patrons and renters, manages room rentals, and coordinates the setup and breakdown of rooms, classrooms, and other recreational spaces. The individual will be responsible for organizing tables and chairs, preparing equipment for activities, and maintaining cleanliness in facility rooms to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Additionally, they will conduct safety checks, alert management to needed repairs, and may provide support in child care programs as necessary.
This role requires a motivated individual who excels in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. The Facility Attendant must be comfortable working varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet facility needs. This job demands a balance of customer service and operational duties to maintain smooth functioning of the community center while supporting community programs effectively. Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and hold a valid driver’s license. Experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities is preferred and may be required depending on specific assignments. The candidate will also need to pass several background checks, including criminal and Child Protective Services (CPS) checks, and maintain first aid and CPR certifications.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to undergo criminal, credit, DMV, fingerprint, and Child Protective Services background checks
- Pass TB test within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
- Complete First Aid/CPR certifications before or immediately upon hire
- Annually complete sworn disclosure statement or affirmation disclosing any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Six months experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities may be required depending on assignment
- Strong communication skills

Job Duties
- Managing drop-in users, renters, and patrons in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the center and department
- Providing excellent customer service by answering inquiries, registering participants, collecting fees, and enforcing facility rules
- Monitoring the building and grounds, processing work orders, procuring supplies, and notifying management of necessary repairs
- Providing substitute coverage for summer camps or preschool programs as required
- Maintaining and updating vehicle records if applicable
- Facilitating the rental and use of facilities, including the setup and breakdown of classrooms, gymnasiums, fitness rooms, and game rooms
