Job Description

Cherokee Nation Redwing (CRW) is a distinguished division of Cherokee Federal, itself a part of Cherokee Nation Businesses. Cherokee Federal represents a collection of tribally owned federal contracting companies, dedicated to supporting over 60 federal clients by solving complex challenges and contributing positively to the government’s mission. Recognized for its commitment to integrity, innovation, and service, the organization offers military-friendly employment opportunities, actively encouraging veterans and active military personnel transitioning to civilian life to apply. The company's approach combines compassion and a forward-thinking mindset to build a brighter future for all stakeholders involved, including employees, partners, and the communities they serve. For those interested in exploring career opportunities within this dynamic environment, Cherokee Nation Redwing represents a chance to be part of a mission-driven organization with deep tribal roots and strong government partnerships.

The Safety Manager role at Cherokee Nation Redwing is a critical position responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of contractor personnel working across various industrial environments, including production areas, warehouses, field locations, and offices. This position requires active or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance, and it is restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents due to government contract requirements. The Safety Manager provides direct supervision of contractor workforce and enforcement of standard operating procedures to maintain a safe workplace and adhere to OSHA General Industry standards.

This role demands a candidate with at least five years of experience in safety and occupational health within industrial or operational environments. The ideal person will hold OSHA 30-hour General Industry training and possess practitioner-level certification from nationally accredited bodies such as BCSP or ABIH. Responsibilities include conducting daily safety inspections, managing Government Furnished Equipment and Material, leading incident investigations and root cause analyses, delivering safety trainings, and ensuring documentation and reporting comply with all governmental and site-specific safety mandates. This position plays an essential role in hazard identification, corrective actions, and maintaining high safety standards to protect workers and assets in a high-tempo operational setting.

Candidates will also demonstrate strong leadership skills, organizational capacity, and communication prowess to manage multiple priorities effectively and provide safety briefings to personnel and leadership. Cherokee Nation Redwing offers compensation commensurate with experience and a full range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, and 401K plans. Although this opportunity is currently pending contract award, interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly as the company prepares for future growth as part of Cherokee Federal’s strategic expansion in the federal contracting space. This position not only promises a rewarding career path focused on health and safety excellence but also positions candidates within a respected federally affiliated organization committed to mission success and community upliftment.
