As a Facilities Porter at PopStroke, you will play a crucial behind-the-scenes role in maintaining the high standards that keep the venues safe, clean, and inviting. Your responsibilities will range from performing regular inspections of the facilities to identifying maintenance needs, addressing safety hazards, and keeping the landscaping in top shape. You will be entrusted with cleaning and sanitizing diverse areas including restrooms, dining spaces, golf courses, and kitchen zones to ensure every inch shines. Handling trash removal, waste disposal, and maintaining equipment like trash compactors are key tasks that underpin a pristine environment.

Your role will also involve monitoring and replenishing supplies, following strict safety protocols, and assisting in storm preparedness and recovery efforts. Working under a non-exempt employment status at a competitive pay rate of $16 to $18 per hour, you will thrive in both indoor and outdoor environments while making a tangible impact on the guest experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time
  • must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 lbs
  • ability to operate equipment and tools safely and effectively
  • ability to work with cleaning products and chemicals safely and effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a facilities or janitorial role
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • experience safely handling and working with cleaning products and chemicals
  • ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and landscaping requirements
  • clean and sanitize various areas of the venue, including restrooms, dining areas, golf courses, and kitchen spaces
  • empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste
  • maintain all areas in a safe and clean condition by sweeping, mopping, deck brushing, dusting, and pressure washing
  • monitor inventor of and replenish supplies
  • report any maintenance needs and hazards to a supervisor immediately
  • complete maintenance checklists
  • assist with storm preparedness and recovery tasks
  • remove trash, safely operate a trash compactor, and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area
  • follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for guests and employees
  • assist with special tasks and projects
  • work in both an indoor and outdoor environment
  • other duties as assigned
