This specific role, based at the St. Louis, MO chapter, requires a facilities maintenance professional who works under limited supervision to perform repairs and maintenance in the plant, office facilities, or on machinery and equipment. This role encompasses expertise across multiple building and equipment maintenance trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical systems, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and machinery repair. The position involves conducting routine and periodic inspections to proactively identify repair needs and prevent breakdowns. Employees in this role use various hand and power tools, blueprints, and technical drawings to troubleshoot and execute effective repairs. Additionally, they may provide training and leadership guidance to other facilities staff and volunteers, supporting the organization's maintenance team.
Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the St. Louis chapter and be prepared to travel by vehicle to other locations within the region such as Springfield, Columbia, and Cape Girardeau. The role requires flexibility, as on-call duties may be assigned, and physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and operating powered equipment.

Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent education
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work
- Basic writing and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work on a team
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Willingness to drive to Springfield, Columbia, and Cape Girardeau regularly
- May have on-call duties
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintain and repair organization’s facilities and properties involving routine tasks and responsibilities
- Correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems
- Paint structures and equipment as needed
- Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies
- Repair appliances and equipment
- Operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment
- Estimate time and material costs of various projects
- Requisition new supplies and equipment
- Review maintenance records to identify recurring deficiencies
- Plan and implement corrective maintenance or repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair all building HVAC related equipment
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Drive vehicle to other locations
