The Facilities Project Manager role at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville is a key leadership position responsible for driving the maintenance, renovation, and capital improvement projects essential for sustaining the hotel’s operational excellence and guest satisfaction. This full-time position demands a proactive individual who can manage multiple large-scale projects effectively in a fast-paced hospitality setting. In this role, the Facilities Project Manager will oversee a diverse range of projects spanning guest rooms, public areas, and operational spaces, ensuring that each initiative aligns with Hyatt’s brand standards and operational goals. The individual will act as the primary liaison between the hotel and external service providers, managing contracts, budgets, schedules, and quality control to guarantee successful project completions. Close collaboration with the Director of Engineering and hotel leadership is vital to prioritize projects that enhance guest experiences and optimize operational efficiency.

Additionally, the Facilities Project Manager is tasked with organizing and coordinating the workflows of the Engineering team, balancing daily maintenance demands with ongoing project activities. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge in building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety, combined with strategic planning abilities to manage resources and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Successful candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, leadership presence, and proficiency with project management tools and software. Experience in a large-scale hospitality environment and familiarity with corporate brand standards will be advantageous. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering construction management facilities management or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of facilities or project management experience preferably in large-scale hospitality or commercial environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors and contractors across multiple projects
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing life safety
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication organization and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering construction management facilities management or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of facilities or project management experience preferably in large-scale hospitality or commercial environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors and contractors across multiple projects
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing life safety
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication organization and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Experience in a large full-service hotel 500+ rooms preferred
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems such as HotSOS Knowcross
  • Experience working within brand standards or corporate guidelines

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage facility-related projects including renovations capital improvements and major repairs across guest rooms public spaces and back-of-house areas
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and contractors including sourcing negotiating scheduling and performance management
  • Develop detailed project plans including scope timelines budgets and resource allocation
  • Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and in alignment with Hyatt brand standards
  • Partner closely with the Director of Engineering and hotel leadership to prioritize projects that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate and align engineering team schedules to balance daily operations preventative maintenance and project work
  • Monitor project progress proactively address risks and communicate updates to key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes safety regulations and Hyatt standards
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify quality of work and adherence to specifications
  • Maintain organized documentation for all projects including contracts permits and close-out reports
  • Support long-term capital planning and asset management initiatives
