Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to meet physical demands including frequent walking and standing
  • capable of handling occasional lifting of more than 100 pounds
  • able to work varied shifts including occasional extended hours
  • experience interacting with the public preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • willingness to travel constantly on and off site

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior experience interacting with the public preferred
  • valid driver's license
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • good observational abilities
  • ability to listen and respond to customer complaints and concerns
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Patrols campus and interacts with public and staff as needed to control smoking or parking in unauthorized areas
  • informs persons of tobacco treatment options
  • provides special service functions such as assisting individuals experiencing motor vehicle problems
  • communicates suspicious activity to appropriate authorities
  • maintains a safe and orderly environment on campus
  • responds to concerns and complaints regarding smoking and parking
