Job Description
Uline, a family-owned company, stands as North America's leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials with over 9,800 employees spanning 14 locations. Established with a commitment to high-quality service and operational excellence, Uline has consistently expanded to meet the evolving demands of its customers. The company prides itself on creating a work environment that fosters employee growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction through innovative practices and a dedicated workforce. Uline operates a drug-free workplace and requires all new hires to complete a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening. All positions are onsite, reflecting the company’s commitment to hands-on management and team collaboration within its facilities.
Located at the Connecticut Branch at 113 Plainfield Pike Road, Plainfield, CT 06374, Uline is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join its team during an exciting period of expansion. This role is pivotal in supporting the launch of a brand new warehouse facility spanning over 1 million square feet. As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing diverse teams across maintenance, security, grounds, and custodial operations. You'll work closely with corporate and branch leadership to develop policies, oversee budgets, and ensure the facility operates at peak performance while creating a safe and productive working environment.
This position offers a competitive salary range from $100,000 to $150,000 per year, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for new hires. The Facilities Manager will play an essential role in setting the standard for facilities excellence at Uline, working hands-on to inspect buildings, oversee emergency maintenance, and manage capital projects. This is a leadership role where your experience in various technical areas such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection, construction, and landscaping will be invaluable.
Additionally, the role requires availability for occasional evening and weekend projects and on-call emergencies. Successful candidates must also be prepared for extended travel during initial training at Uline’s other North American locations, ensuring they are fully equipped to excel in this crucial position.
Uline values its employees by offering complete health insurance coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 6% employer match effective from day one, multiple bonus programs, paid holidays, generous time off, and tuition assistance for professional continuing education. Employees enjoy working in best-in-class facilities that are clean, modern, and include access to a first-class fitness center, supporting both professional and personal well-being.
If you are a dynamic leader with strong facilities management expertise and a passion for operational excellence, this exciting opportunity at Uline offers a rewarding career pathway with excellent benefits and growth potential.
