This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $29 to $36 and includes an impressive $5,000 sign-on bonus for new hires, demonstrating the company’s commitment to attracting top talent in the region.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Uline, you will play a vital role in keeping the Plainfield warehouse and surrounding areas in excellent condition. This includes performing regular maintenance on the facility's infrastructure such as plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), fire protection systems, and cabinetry or woodwork repairs. You will manage both interior and exterior maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, security, and operational efficiency. From inspecting fire protection measures to adjusting locks and doors, each responsibility is crucial to supporting a productive and safe working environment. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical work, large-scale HVAC systems, carpentry, and general maintenance. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, large-scale HVAC systems or carpentry
- skilled in troubleshooting and completing projects in a timely manner
- ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs
- valid driver’s license

Job Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and work on minor building, painting and alteration projects
- maintain electrical lighting, large-scale HVAC and generator systems
- adjust, maintain and repair exterior and interior doors and locks
- inspect and test fire protection systems
- maintain plumbing fixtures and repair restroom facilities
- install and reconfigure office workstations and repair furniture and woodwork
