With state-of-the-art facilities and a robust commitment to innovation, the company plays a vital role in advancing healthcare through reliable and efficient production processes.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician position is an essential role within this regulated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining and improving the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the facility and the equipment that supports sterile pharmaceutical production. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise combined with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach toward preventive and corrective maintenance. This position demands strict compliance with cGMP standards to ensure that all operational aspects meet regulatory requirements, thus safeguarding product integrity and manufacturing excellence.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of plant equipment and building infrastructure, ensuring all activities comply with manufacturer's specifications and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation system issues, perform parts replacement, and test equipment functionality. Your role is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and serviceable environment at the manufacturing site, which directly impacts production efficiency and quality.
You will also be tasked with managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), maintaining spare parts inventory, coordinating with vendors, and supporting facility-wide initiatives including office and equipment moves. Collaboration with Quality Assurance and Environmental Monitoring teams is integral, as you will adhere to necessary procedures such as change controls and investigations, and monitor environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and pressure, according to regulatory standards.
This role requires a solid foundation in electrical wiring and installation, along with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation including P&IDs and equipment manuals. Candidates should exhibit strong troubleshooting skills and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. Occasional on-call or weekend maintenance support may be required, highlighting the need for flexibility and commitment to maintaining continuous operational excellence.
