ABM is currently seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician for a full-time, non-exempt hourly position located near Tidwell Rd. and U.S. Hwy 290, zip code 77091. The position reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor and features a Monday through Friday schedule from 6 am to 3 pm. The ideal candidate will handle routine building maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, access control, and HVAC systems. This role emphasizes proactive problem-solving, requiring the technician to anticipate and address maintenance issues before they escalate. Communication skills are fundamental, especially since the technician must effectively interact with clients and coordinate with the facilities management team when external expertise is necessary. Responsibilities also involve working with a variety of tools and materials to complete various repair and maintenance duties, ensuring all building systems function optimally.
