The role of Facilities Housekeeper at the Hollywood / Santa Monica location is a vital position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the company's facilities, ensuring an immaculate and welcoming environment for high-profile clientele and creative professionals. This full-time, on-site position offers an hourly pay rate of $18.00 USD and involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties aimed at upholding the company's standards for a pristine workspace.
As a Facilities Housekeeper, your responsibilities will encompass sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, as well as cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be expected to polish fixtures and appliances, address water spots and smudges, and adjust furniture and décor to maintain an aesthetically pleasing environment. You will collaborate closely with the Office Manager to ensure janitorial supplies are well-stocked and organized, maintaining detailed cleaning logs and adhering to safety protocols with chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
Additionally, this role requires proactive monitoring of the facility to promptly report any safety hazards, concerns, or damages to the Facility Manager, ensuring a safe environment for all employees and guests. You will be responsible for responding quickly to spills, emptying trash, recycling, and compost, exercising discretion in sensitive areas, performing miscellaneous housekeeping tasks, and minor maintenance duties such as breaking down boxes and power washing outdoor patios and parking areas.
Specialized cleaning tasks include deep cleaning commercial kitchens and appliances, carpeting and rug shampooing, and assisting with setup and furniture movement for private events. The position also involves receiving and stocking cleaning supplies, providing on-the-job training to new staff, and participating in emergency drills and safety training sessions. This role demands physical agility and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive motions, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb ladders up to 10 ft as needed.
Ideal candidates possess basic English language skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, a customer service-oriented attitude, and proficiency with cleaning materials and equipment. Bilingual English and Spanish skills, as well as basic math skills, are considered advantages.
