Carteret Management Corporation is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Cleaning & Maintenance Assistant for their Metro 510 apartment community located in downtown Tampa, Florida. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the residential property, contributing directly to resident satisfaction and the overall aesthetic appeal of the community. The Facilities Cleaning & Maintenance Assistant is tasked with performing custodial duties, grounds keeping, and light maintenance responsibilities to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive living environment for residents. Key duties involve clearing debris from outdoor areas, cleaning the office and common spaces, preparing market-ready units, and performing light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and clearing clogs. The assistant plays a critical role in ensuring that all assigned janitorial and maintenance duties are completed efficiently and effectively to support the property's operational standards.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, as the individual will interact regularly with residents, onsite staff, and vendors. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple priorities, handling various tools and equipment including hand tools, pressure washers, and hand blowers safely and effectively. - Ability to operate machinery, tools and equipment necessary to perform the porter’s duties including hand tools, pressure washer, hand blower, etc.

- Perform such functions as clearing debris from grounds, cleaning office and common areas
- Assist in the preparation of market ready units
- Light maintenance tasks i.e. changing light bulbs, air filters, clear clogs, etc.
- Perform other general janitorial and basic maintenance duties as assigned
