The Facilities Building Manager position is based at the Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans (MCSF-NOLA), supporting the Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) Facilities Department. This role is crucial in ensuring that all facilities under MARFORRES's jurisdiction remain safe, functional, and fully mission-ready. The individual in this role is responsible for the thorough planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closure of various maintenance, repair, and construction projects. They also act as the pivotal point of liaison among government personnel, contractors, and site leadership, facilitating seamless communication and efficient resolution of facility-related issues.
This full-time Facilities Building Manager position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, highlighting the sensitive nature of the operations involved. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- PMP or CFM certification or relevant facilities/project management experience may be substituted
- minimum 5-8 years experience supporting facilities operations, management, construction coordination, project management, or infrastructure sustainment programs
- ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance

Job Duties
- Submit, track and report on the status of work request tickets for MCSF-NOLA
- assist in the planning and coordination of work ticket resolution
- advise and provide guidance and technical assistance on routine and emergency maintenance matters
- initiate, manage, provide guidance on facility work tickets for remote sites utilizing MFR SharePoint work ticket system
- serve as liaison between Facilities Building Manager and MARFORRES site leadership, unit chain of command, host service/organization, internal and external commands and agencies, civilian and military employees, contract employees, and MFR divisions
- participate in weekly client meetings with MCSF tenant commands and facility staff to review and reconcile work tickets
- participate in client facility planning meetings
- review as-built drawings to assist with project scope development
- prepare weekly synopsis of work in-progress, FSRM and MILCON project status, open work tickets, and issues for all MFR sites
- attend meetings to review current and emergent facilities service and maintenance challenges
- coordinate access and oversight of work performed by external contractors
- facilitate contractor access as necessary to troubleshoot or repair equipment
- coordinate with subject matter experts for supporting actions and documentation preparation
- receive and post project warranty information on Facilities SharePoint
- maintain record of project progress and coordinate milestone dates with Project Managers and team members
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
