Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- More than 3 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Experience with hand and power tool operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Normal hearing and vision required
- Ability to work full-time in a permanent position
- Adherence to safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience using a range of hand and power tools including pneumatic tools, rivet guns, and grinders
- Knowledge of materials used in aircraft interior fabrication including adhesives, sealants, coatings, primers, and composites
- Proven problem-solving skills to address fabrication issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Demonstrated adaptability and attention to detail in a low repetition, high customization manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn for Level 1
- Proficiency in executing assembly and test requirements for Level 2
- Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge and ability to work autonomously for Level 3
- Leadership and mentorship abilities for higher levels
Job Duties
- Fabricate and assemble interior panels and assemblies according to program-specific processes
- Trim, shape, and fit components to meet unique design requirements
- Handle materials such as adhesives, resins, honeycomb core, carpet, fiberglass, and aluminum
- Install fittings like latches, hinges, and brackets
- Apply decorative finishes and perform complex bending and assembly using jigs and fixtures
- Operate various shop power tools including routers, table saws, band saws, drill presses, pneumatic tools, rivet guns, and specialty grinders
- Conduct quality control checks, in-process rework, and maintain records
- Troubleshoot fabrication and assembly challenges and implement effective solutions
- Interpret and adapt technical drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment adhering to safety protocols
