Job Description
AWS Global Hospitality is a dynamic division within Amazon Web Services (AWS) dedicated to delivering exceptional marketing experiences through strategic partnerships with leading sports and entertainment brands. AWS itself is a global leader in cloud computing services, renowned for its innovative technology solutions that drive digital transformation for businesses worldwide. Within this context, AWS Global Hospitality elevates the brand's presence by leveraging high-profile sponsorships, most notably its engagement with Formula 1, one of the most prestigious and widely viewed motorsport events globally. The division's role is critical in showcasing AWS’s technology capabilities in a manner that resonates emotionally and strategically with customers and executives alike, through immersive and meticulously crafted hospitality events.
The F1 Program Manager role at AWS Global Hospitality is a pivotal leadership position tasked with steering the planning, execution, and optimization of AWS’s Formula 1 hospitality events across the North America region. This role offers a unique blend of strategic vision and hands-on operational expertise, aimed at maximizing the impact of AWS's F1 sponsorship. The ideal candidate will be the primary owner of the North American F1 event portfolio, working closely with internal stakeholders across AWS business units, as well as external partners including vendors, agencies, and the Formula 1 team ecosystem. The F1 Program Manager ensures that every activation aligns with AWS brand standards and business objectives, delivering premium customer experiences that accelerate sales pipeline development, deepen executive relationships, and generate measurable returns on investment.
In addition to managing North American events, the F1 Program Manager plays a key role in supporting the global field-led F1 events by providing strategic guidance and operational support, fostering consistency and excellence across all international activations. The role involves comprehensive responsibilities, including strategic planning of race weekends such as the Miami Grand Prix, Las Vegas Grand Prix, and Canadian Grand Prix; demand generation through coordination with Sales and Business Development teams; detailed on-site execution; budget management to ensure cost efficiency without compromising experience quality; and robust vendor and partner management.
This is a full-time role offering a highly competitive salary range that varies between approximately $80,600 to $155,200 USD annually depending on location and experience, complemented by Amazon’s comprehensive benefits package. The position is ideal for a marketing professional with at least four years of experience, strong data analytics skills, expertise in executing large-scale marketing programs, and a passion for motorsport hospitality. Familiarity with customer research, CRM and analytics tools such as Marketo, Tableau, and Salesforce, as well as a background in brand development, will help the candidate succeed and thrive. An MBA and prior exposure to the Formula 1 ecosystem or sports sponsorship activations are preferred but not mandatory.
The AWS Global Hospitality team embodies an inclusive culture that empowers its employees to deliver unparalleled customer experiences through innovation and excellence. This role encourages collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and supports diverse perspectives, contributing to a workplace environment where employees can grow professionally while making a tangible impact on the company’s global strategic initiatives in sports marketing.
