We are currently seeking a Food Expeditor to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal to maintaining seamless communication and workflow between the kitchen staff and wait staff, ensuring that every dish is prepared accurately and delivered promptly. As a Food Expeditor, you will be responsible for coordinating orders, multitasking efficiently in a busy atmosphere, and guaranteeing that all meals meet our presentation standards before reaching the guest. Your involvement will range from monitoring the order flow, assisting with running food when the wait staff is occupied, to maintaining sanitary conditions by cleaning and organizing the line area. This position demands a high level of organization, attentiveness, and teamwork, making it essential for the overall dining experience.

This position is well-suited for individuals who thrive under pressure and are passionate about hospitality. Candidates should be prepared to engage closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to synchronize order timing and quality control. Physical stamina is also important as the job requires standing for prolonged periods and occasionally lifting items up to 50 pounds. Furthermore, familiarity with health department standards and customer service skills will contribute to your success in this role.

Job Duties

  • ability to multitask in a fast environment
  • ensure orders are being prepared in the proper order
  • ensure each plate is appropriately garnished and presentable for the guest
  • run food if the wait staff is busy
  • make sure sauces and garnishments are filled at the start and end of shift
  • break down any containers and help clean the line at close of business
  • ensure the line stays clean
