The role of the Expo at Goode Company is pivotal to the restaurant's success. This position requires an individual who is quick, detail-oriented, and team-driven to act as the critical link between the kitchen staff and the dining room service team. The Expo plays a vital role in managing the flow of dishes, verifying that food presentation is impeccable, and ensuring orders reach guests accurately and promptly. This position demands excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate between front-of-house and back-of-house operations, supporting a smooth, efficient dining service.
An Expo at Goode Co. is responsible not only for maintaining a clean and organized work area but also for understanding and executing the proper sequence of service to optimize guest satisfaction. The role requires attentiveness to timing, ensuring food is prepared and served within appropriate timeframes without compromising quality. The Expo must have a strong knowledge of the menu to anticipate and accommodate guest requests proactively and should be able to set up the expo line complete with all necessary garnishes and supplies to support a full day of business. This position is integral to upholding the high standards of both food quality and service presentation expected by Goode Company.
Working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, the Expo must demonstrate physical stamina, such as being able to carry trays of food and remain on their feet for extended periods. This role requires punctuality, a positive attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Employees in this position are expected to be well-groomed, professionally dressed, and food handler certified to comply with health and safety regulations. The Expo's contribution directly impacts the guests' overall dining experience, making the role essential to the restaurant's operational excellence.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least six months of experience in a restaurant or food service setting preferred
- food handler certification
- ability to carry heavy trays of food
- excellent verbal communication skills in English
- physical stamina to remain standing and active for extended periods
- punctuality and reliable attendance
- ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- positive team-oriented attitude

Job Duties
- Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner
- understand and execute the proper sequence of service
