Known for delivering innovative, award-winning marketing campaigns and sponsorship activations, Octagon has earned a reputation as one of the "Best Places to Work in Sports." The company prides itself on its passionate culture powered by a team of dedicated playmakers who bring bold ideas and inventive energy to their work, playing a pivotal role in shaping the fan experience across sports, arts, entertainment, and lifestyle sectors. With offices located in major cities including Stamford, CT (headquarters), New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA, Octagon fosters a vibrant, collaborative environment that blends creativity and strategic thinking to drive client success and engagement.
The role of Experiential Manager (Sports + Lifestyle Partnerships) within Octagon focuses on delivering world-class event management and experiential marketing execution for a leading Payment Services client. This position offers a hybrid work model requiring three days a week in the office with flexibility across multiple U.S. locations. The Experiential Manager is tasked with supporting and leading U.S.-based event execution aligned with the client’s sports, arts, culinary, and lifestyle partnerships—bringing dynamic, high-profile experiences to life.
The Experiential Manager serves as a key liaison between the client, vendors, venues, and other internal departments, managing all logistics from planning through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up. Responsibilities include carefully overseeing sponsorship programming details such as budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, event materials, and compliance with client deliverables. This role demands a seasoned project manager with a flair for creativity, problem-solving, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills are crucial, as the manager must facilitate smooth collaborations across internal teams and external stakeholders. The role also involves developing strategic event plans and sales support materials to meet marketing objectives and maximize sponsorship value.
This position offers a competitive salary range from $60,000 to $65,000 annually, contingent on qualifications and experience. The role requires willingness to travel domestically up to 45% and accommodate occasional weekend or holiday work depending on event schedules. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports, lifestyle culture, food, the arts, and travel and brings a proven event planning background within agency or client service settings. They should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is expected.
Octagon is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace, actively promoting diversity and equality of opportunity. The company encourages applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, or other legally protected characteristics. This role is perfect for someone looking to contribute their expertise to a vibrant team, leveraging cutting-edge experiential marketing strategies to create memorable events that resonate with audiences and elevate client brands.
