Job Description
Senior Lifestyle is a leading provider of retirement communities committed to offering exceptional living environments for seniors. Known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, Senior Lifestyle prides itself on creating vibrant communities where residents can enjoy life to the fullest. With several properties across various locations, the company combines top-notch amenities, compassionate care, and engaging activities that foster a sense of belonging and enrich the lives of its residents. Each community is designed with both comfort and elegance in mind, making it one of Cincinnati's premier and most beautiful retirement communities.
The company thrives on its mission to brighten and enrich the lives of those it serves with HEART – Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect, and Teamwork. They emphasize a culture where employees are more than just workers; they are integral parts of a caring network that values each resident's dignity and happiness. As a part of this team, employees experience a friendly and cooperative environment that encourages professional growth and personal satisfaction.
The Server role at Senior Lifestyle is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the resident experience by providing outstanding food and beverage service. This position demands an individual who can deliver high-quality service efficiently and with a pleasant attitude. Shift timings are from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with every other weekend availability required, allowing staff to maintain work-life balance while serving the community effectively.
In this role, servers accept food orders, communicate these orders to the kitchen accurately, and ensure timely delivery of meals and beverages to residents and guests. They play a vital role in maintaining resident satisfaction by promptly responding to any needs or requests. Servers are also responsible for bussing and resetting tables, completing assigned side work, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
This position is ideal for individuals with at least four years of experience in serving, preferably within fine dining settings. They should be capable of managing complex orders, understanding dietary restrictions, and adapting quickly to the dynamic environment of a senior living community. The role also demands clear and effective communication skills in English and basic computer skills to operate POS and payroll systems.
Candidates will undergo food safety training to obtain all required food handling and sanitation certificates or licenses as mandated by local, state, and county regulations. This ensures the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained, aligning with the community’s commitment to resident health and wellbeing.
Working at Senior Lifestyle means benefiting from a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees' health, financial security, and overall well-being. Eligible team members can access health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and both short-term and long-term disability benefits. Additionally, Paid Time Off (PTO) and the opportunity to use DailyPay, an application that enables access to earned but unpaid wages before payday, demonstrate the company’s commitment to employee convenience and satisfaction.
Senior Lifestyle also requires all employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempted for medical, religious, or personal reasons, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all residents and staff. This policy reflects the company’s dedication to maintaining a responsible workplace and community.
Joining Senior Lifestyle as a Server is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to be part of a supportive team that values hospitality, respect, and teamwork while making a meaningful difference in the lives of senior residents. With its beautiful setting, excellent benefits, and positive organizational culture, Senior Lifestyle offers an enriching career path for individuals passionate about service and community care.
