Job Description
Senior Lifestyle is a leading provider of senior living communities, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults by offering vibrant and caring environments. With a commitment to hospitality, excellence, appreciation, respect, and teamwork, Senior Lifestyle stands out as a premier and beautiful retirement community located in Cincinnati. Our mission is centered around HEART—Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect, and Teamwork—all of which guide us in creating a supportive atmosphere where residents feel valued and cared for every day. Our dedicated team members work collaboratively to ensure that each resident experiences enriching and fulfilling days in a respectful and friendly environment. At Senior Lifestyle, we provide more than just a place to live; we build a community where hospitality and personalized service are paramount. We are currently seeking individuals who embody our mission and values to join us as food and beverage servers on a schedule of 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm shifts, with availability every other weekend required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional yet warm setting where team spirit and resident satisfaction are prioritized.
The role of a Food and Beverage Server at Senior Lifestyle involves providing quick, efficient, and pleasant service of food and beverage to residents and guests, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism. As a server, you will be an integral part of the community experience, facilitating positive interactions and contributing to the overall satisfaction of our residents and their visitors. The role requires attentiveness and the ability to respond swiftly to requests, along with maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment by bussing and resetting tables and completing assigned side work. You will play a critical part in representing the community’s values by maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while engaging with residents, guests, and co-workers. This position demands strong communication skills, a friendly attitude, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of service. The Food and Beverage Server will also be responsible for accurately taking orders and ensuring they are promptly communicated to the kitchen. Candidates must be prepared to complete food safety training and obtain any necessary food handling or sanitation certificates required by local, state, or county regulations. Basic computer skills are essential for operating point of sale (POS) and payroll systems. Candidates who are proactive, resourceful, and capable of making independent decisions when needed will find this role rewarding. In addition to serving, candidates should be comfortable managing practical problems in variable conditions and maintaining composure in a dynamic community environment. Senior Lifestyle offers a comprehensive benefits plan to eligible team members including health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off. Our team members also have access to DailyPay, an application that allows employees to access earned wages before the next payday. Senior Lifestyle is committed to the health and safety of its residents and staff and requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all employees unless exemptions apply due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs. Join a team that makes a real difference in the lives of seniors while enjoying a supportive workplace atmosphere that values your skills and commitment.
