We are currently seeking a dedicated and personable Server to join our dynamic team. The role is integral to our success, as servers at Coach Grill are the face of our hospitality. The Server is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality by establishing genuine and emotional connections with guests from their initial greeting to their departure. This role requires excellent communication skills, attentiveness to guest needs, and the ability to recommend and serve food and beverages that enhance the overall dining experience.

Servers at Coach Grill contribute significantly to teamwork and operational success by collaborating effectively with fellow staff and management. Key responsibilities include executing beverage tray service, managing payment processing, adhering to alcohol awareness policies, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Additionally, servers must possess the poise and professionalism to handle guest complaints gracefully and ensure guest satisfaction through follow-up interactions.

This position is ideal for individuals with at least one year of upscale hospitality experience, proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems, and the physical coordination required to carry multiple drinks and plates efficiently. Candidates must meet legal minimum age requirements for serving alcohol and exhibit qualities such as adaptability, effective communication, problem-solving, initiative, and a strong customer focus.

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of upscale hospitality experience as a server
  • experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • must meet local, legal minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
  • coordination skills to allow proper pouring and carrying of several drinks and plates at the same time

  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Deliver genuine hospitality to and establish emotional connections with our guests
  • contribute to the overall teamwork and success of the restaurant
  • communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • determine guests needs while making the appropriate recommendations and offerings to enhance the dining experience
  • execute beverage tray service and answer guest questions regarding food and beverage offerings
  • adhere to all alcohol awareness procedures
  • handle guest complaints professionally and alert a manager immediately
  • process payments and handle cash professionally and accurately
  • communicate with managers and hosts regarding table availability and key table updates
  • follow up with guests about their meal and dining experience to ensure great guest satisfaction
  • maintain high level of cleanliness and sanitation
  • demonstrate professional and gracious demeanor at all times
  • perform all opening, running, and closing duties accurately
  • perform any job function requested by the management team
