This role is perfect for an experienced pastry professional, ideally with Michelin-star kitchen exposure, who is passionate about creating exquisite desserts and pastry products to meet Valle9's exacting standards. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing all pastry items in accordance with the established recipes and quality benchmarks, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish. Working closely with higher-level culinary leaders and the executive chef, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to take direction, contribute creative input, and maintain precision under the pressures of a high-end restaurant environment.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.50 to $26.00, with compensation reflective of the candidate's experience and educational background. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous pastry cook experience in a Michelin starred or upscale restaurant
- ability to follow standard recipes and instructions
- strong organizational skills
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to stand for long periods
- willingness to take direction and work collaboratively
Job Qualifications
- experience working in a Michelin capacity pastry kitchen
- culinary training or equivalent experience
- ability to work in a high-pressure upscale dining environment
- strong attention to detail and consistency
- good communication and teamwork skills
- basic knowledge of food safety regulations
Job Duties
- prepare and bake pastries and desserts according to Valle pastry standards
- assist senior culinary staff as required
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station
