The role of Drops, or the lead pasta station cook, is perhaps the most challenging and coveted position within Pastaria's kitchen brigade. This position serves as the anchor of the line during dinner service, responsible for executing a high volume of pasta dishes with meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate must excel at managing the pressures of a fast-paced kitchen and maintaining performance even during the busiest rushes. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $24 per hour, with shifts beginning at 2:00 PM and ending at 10:00 PM, designed to support a balanced work-life rhythm while enabling focused service output.
As the Drops cook, you will be expected to bring expertise and leadership to the pasta station, setting the tone for quality and speed on the line. Pastaria values those who can hit the ground running, with experience in high-volume kitchen settings being essential. Prior pasta station experience or leadership on the line is a strong advantage, though the restaurant also highly values attitude and potential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
- Prior experience leading a pasta station or relevant line role
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work full-time shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Willingness to work in person at the Pastaria location
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in high-volume kitchen environments
- Experience on a pasta station or similar lead line position
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure with endurance and focus
- Knowledge of Italian cooking techniques preferred

Job Duties
- Execute pasta dishes at high volume with precision and consistency
