Job Description

RANCHER. BUTCHER. CHEF. (RBC) is a unique and vibrant establishment that blends a ranch-inspired butcher counter with a full-service dining room and bar. Located in the NW Crossing neighborhood of Bend, this innovative restaurant opened its doors in August 2022, quickly establishing itself as a community favorite for those who appreciate quality meats, expertly prepared dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere. RBC celebrates the art of butchery and cooking, combining traditional ranch influences with contemporary culinary techniques to deliver outstanding dining experiences.

As a full service restaurant, RBC emphasizes high standards in food preparation, guest service, and teamwork. The establishment prides itself on creating a fun yet professional work environment that supports work-life balance while fostering a passion for great food and hospitality. This culture attracts culinary professionals who are motivated to grow their skills and contribute meaningfully to a dynamic and quality-focused brand.

The role of the Line/Prep Cook at RBC is central to the success of the kitchen and the overall guest experience. This is a full-time, hourly position that offers a competitive wage commensurate with experience, along with tip pooling and additional benefits such as paid time off (PTO), which are discussed upon hire. The ideal candidate will bring at least one to two years of experience working in a professional kitchen environment, specifically in a line or prep cook capacity. Familiarity with kitchen operations, food safety standards, knife skills, and the use of specialized culinary tools is essential.

In this role, the Line/Prep Cook contributes directly to RBC’s mission by preparing high-quality food efficiently and consistently. They are responsible for ensuring prompt and courteous meal service, creating positive interactions with guests and colleagues alike. Being part of the kitchen team means supporting the dynamic flow of the kitchen during busy service periods, maintaining clean and organized workstations, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

The position requires not only technical skill but a genuine passion for food and hospitality. Candidates should enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to the diverse demands of a full-service, first-class restaurant setting. Working on weekends and some holidays is part of the schedule, reflecting the hospitality industry's needs, but RBC commits to providing a balanced and rewarding workplace where employees feel valued and motivated.

RBC offers a chance to grow within a passionate and motivated team that values craftsmanship, respect, and excellence. If you are a culinary professional eager to be part of a thriving restaurant that honors ranch traditions while pushing culinary boundaries, RBC welcomes your application to join their team and contribute to an exceptional dining experience.
