We are currently looking to hire a polished, professional, and energetic Lead Host/Hostess to represent the frontline of our operation. This role is pivotal in creating positive first impressions that define the guest experience upon arrival. The Lead Host/Hostess will be responsible for managing the reception area, assisting in reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements in a busy, high-volume setting. This position entails working closely with the Reception Manager to lead a team, uphold the highest standards of grooming and professionalism, and maintain exceptional customer service levels.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality
- Proficiency with reservation systems like SevenRooms and OpenTable
- Ability to remain in stationary position for 8 or more hours
- Ability to lift or move goods weighing up to 25 pounds
- Strong multitasking and communication skills

- Prior customer service or hospitality experience including restaurant front desk or host experience

Job Duties
- Assist Reception Manager in ensuring reception team reports for duty punctually always wearing correct uniform with highest standards of grooming
- Ensure all guests receive a positive warm and professional first impression of the restaurant and to be seated at their table
- Assist in efficient registration and logging of all arriving guests
- Assist Reception Manager in booking efficiently to allocate tables equally over all restaurant sections and stagger bookings
- Answer all incoming calls promptly and courteously and ensure all telephone messages and emails are answered accordingly
- Assist Reception Manager in ensuring booking details are accurate and assist in maximizing table occupancy
- Maintain complete knowledge of daily restaurant covers, hours of operation, ambiance, menu selections and price range, featured entertainment, menu items, specials, out of stock items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, table seat station numbers, proper table setups, room capacity, and dress code
- Ensure all reservations are communicated to management team on duty in detailed hand-over and inform of special attention guests and VIPs
- Report and log any complaints or comments to management team on duty
- Ensure all dietary requirements are detailed and accurate for party bookings and kitchen has this information in good time
- Ensure immaculate cleanliness of all menus
- Ensure regular clients are recognized and greeted and profiles regularly updated
- Acknowledge and bid farewell to departing guests leaving good professional lasting impression
- Ensure weekly stationary requisitions are completed and recorded on time
- Manage train and lead reception team alongside Reception Manager
- Conduct onsite induction involving training of reception position including paperwork and reservation reports
