Job Requirements
- some college desired
- minimum three years hotel experience with two years in assistant front office manager or management roles
- experience in luxury hotel with at least 300 rooms
- fluent in English language
- effective supervisory skills
- ability to calculate mathematical figures including percentages and proportions
- good verbal and written communication
- computer literacy
- ability to handle stress and perform problem solving
- flexible work schedule
- ability to stand and walk frequently
- ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts
- conduct AM and PM pre-shift meetings with staff and review pertinent business information
- attend daily and weekly operations meetings
- assign work duties to staff according to departmental procedures and communicate changes promptly
- monitor check-in/check-out process ensuring adherence to hotel standards and assist in handling critical situations
- anticipate guest needs and respond promptly, handling complaints professionally
- identify training needs and implement formal training plans
- oversee maintenance standards for facilities and equipment
- ensure staff compliance with Forbes Service Standards
- assist staff with job functions to optimize guest service
- assist at front desk as necessary
- conduct interviewing, hiring, orientation, performance appraisal, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions
- conduct monthly departmental meetings reviewing procedures and special events
- control and analyze front office costs to meet budget
- monitor inventory of operating equipment and supplies
- adhere to hotel policies during guest accidents or emergencies
- ensure VIP guests are preregistered and their rooms inspected according to standards
- greet and escort VIP arrivals
- review resumes and coordinate special requests for group arrivals
- support loss prevention during accidents, incidents, and emergencies
- perform other duties as assigned
