We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team at WOB Bar & Kitchen. The Line Cook's primary responsibility is to ensure that every dish served meets World of Beer’s high standards for taste, presentation, and portion control. This position requires a candidate who is passionate about cooking and has a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. This is an hourly wage position that demands flexibility, as the work schedule includes nights and weekends to meet the busy flow of the restaurant.

Job Requirements
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
- Ability to retain menu recipe knowledge
- Flexible schedule
- Ability to withstand frequent exposure to high and low temperatures, smoke, and steam
- Ability to learn and understand how to prepare all food items on the menu to WOB specifications in a timely manner
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook
- Possess strong teamwork skills
- Work well in fast-paced setting while maintaining a fun, high energy work environment
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire or as required by state law
Job Duties
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the WOB recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
- Follow the prep list created by Kitchen management
- Label and stock all ingredients so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure all food and station items are stored properly
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work efficiently and as part of a team to ensure timely preparation of dishes
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and front of house staff
