The Cook position at Brookdale offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and dedicated to improving the quality of life for senior residents. Temporary associates are also welcomed but are not benefits eligible; however, they may participate in the company's 401(k) program. Veterans, transitioning active duty military personnel, and military spouses are especially encouraged to apply. Beyond a paycheck, Brookdale supports its associates with comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as life insurance and retirement plans. Full-time employees gain access to additional benefits such as paid time off, paid holidays, adoption assistance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and health savings accounts. Brookdale also demonstrates commitment to its workforce by offering unique support programs, including tuition reimbursement, early wage access, associate assistance programs, employee discounts, referral programs, and optional voluntary benefits covering ID theft protection, pet insurance, accident insurance, critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity insurance, and legal services.

This role requires adherence to strict sanitation and food safety standards to maintain a clean kitchen environment while ensuring meal preparation is timely and consistent with set meal times. Brookdale emphasizes work-life balance with no late-night shifts, promoting an environment where employees can thrive both professionally and personally. In addition to supporting resident health and nutrition, this position is part of a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and the personal wellness of each associate. Brookdale also assists associates on their path to U.S. citizenship by advancing naturalization fees under qualifying conditions.
