As a global leader in the ski resort industry, the company prioritizes employee engagement by offering competitive wages, professional growth opportunities, and numerous perks designed to enhance both personal and career development. Their winter seasonal positions exemplify the integration of work and play, encouraging employees—from first-timers to seasoned outdoor enthusiasts—to engage in a community that values teamwork, guest service, and outdoor fun. Employees benefit from industry-leading compensation rates, complimentary ski and snowboard lessons, free passes, and significant retail discounts, all intended to make every season unforgettable.

The Cook role at Vail Resorts is a crucial component of the culinary team, focusing on delivering outstanding dining experiences through commitment to food quality, safety, and teamwork. This role is seasonal, specifically tailored for the winter 2026/2027 period, with full-time shifts available and starting wages ranging from $21.25 to $26.57 per hour, reflective of the high standards maintained by the organization. Cooks work alongside chefs and kitchen staff to prepare ingredients, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety protocols. The position does not include housing availability but offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes employee discounts, retirement plans, and wellness programs. Working with Vail Resorts means more than just a job; it offers an experience of a lifetime, combining the thrill of mountain life with a rewarding culinary career, supported by extensive training and opportunities for advancement through the Epic Service platform.
