Job Description

Our establishment is a dynamic and professional kitchen environment specializing in large-scale food production and catering services. We are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our team for the 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM shift, with a flexible schedule that includes four 10-hour days per week. This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of experience working in production kitchens, catering, or banquet settings, who excels in preparing large batches of food rather than direct serving. The position will involve following precise recipes and measurements, operating large kitchen equipment such as combi ovens, tilt skillets, and stand mixers, and cooking meals that meet specific dietary restrictions. Our kitchen environment supports a THC-friendly drug screen policy, promoting an inclusive atmosphere. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent kitchen etiquette, a thorough understanding of food safety protocols including internal cooking temperatures by memory, and the ability to maintain a clean and orderly cooking station.

On the first day, orientation and training will provide a comprehensive introduction to our kitchen operations, safety standards, and expectations. Punctuality and communication regarding attendance and lateness are critical. Our management team will work closely with the cook to tailor schedules that meet both operational needs and individual preferences. This role also requires collaboration with kitchen staff for inventory and ingredient management. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, resilience working on their feet for extended periods, and strong dedication to quality and safety in food preparation processes. This position offers a robust opportunity to grow within an established culinary setting while contributing to the smooth and efficient daily operation of our kitchen.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production kitchen or catering/banquet establishment
  • Familiarity with proper kitchen safety protocols and language
  • Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
  • Comfortable using scales to measure ingredients
  • Knowledge of minimum internal cooking temperatures for chicken, ground beef, and fish
  • Flexible schedule with four 10-hour shifts
  • Reliable time and attendance
  • Pass a drug screen (THC friendly)

Job Duties
