The Driver, Hourly CDL-A role is critical within Core-Mark’s operational framework. This position involves operating a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight deliveries. The primary responsibility is to deliver and unload food and related products safely and punctually to customers while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drivers serve as ambassadors of the company by maintaining professional communication with customers, vendors, and colleagues to ensure efficient service. This role requires meticulous attention to safety checks such as pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors, trailers, and cargo to comply with DOT and company standards. The driver will perform cargo verification, manage accurate documentation, and handle product returns with care. There is a strong emphasis on operational safety to prevent hazards and damage to products while ensuring timely deliveries.

Compensation for this role is competitive, offering up to $90,000 annually. Notably, there is a $2,000 sign-on bonus for drivers who have at least one year of tractor-trailer driving experience, distributed in incremental payments after 30, 90, and 180 days of employment. The position follows a four-day workweek, with no weekend shifts, promoting work-life balance.
