The Driver, Hourly CDL-A position at Core-Mark offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced commercial drivers to become vital contributors to America’s food distribution system. This role is designed for dedicated individuals responsible for safely operating tractor trailers or straight trucks to transport food and food-related products to various customers. The position offers competitive compensation that can reach up to $90,000 annually, alongside a $2,000 bonus for drivers with at least one year of tractor-trailer experience, paid in increments after 30, 90, and 180 days. Drivers benefit from a unique work schedule with a four-day work week and no weekend shifts, promoting a better work-life balance.

In this role, the driver ensures timely deliveries while complying with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations. Key responsibilities include performing required pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, verifying freight is properly loaded and secured, conducting accurate counts and paperwork for shipments, and providing excellent customer service by communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues. The driver also handles the loading and unloading of freight, including customer returns and damaged goods, and maintains cleanliness and safety of equipment and work areas.
