The Driver, Hourly CDL-A role at Core-Mark is a key position responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of food and related products to a variety of customer locations using tractor trailers or straight trucks. This role includes intrastate and interstate driving, local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and drive-and-drop routes. Drivers operate under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. This position offers competitive pay with the potential to earn up to $90,000 annually, along with a $2,000 signing bonus for drivers with at least one year of tractor-trailer experience, distributed in increments at 30, 90, and 180 days of employment. Additionally, drivers benefit from a four-day workweek with no weekend shifts, fostering a strong work-life balance.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent
- valid CDL-A license and at least 21 years of age
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- attain or have valid current DOT health card or be able to secure new DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler lift gate or other equipment to move and stack product cases of varying size and weight

Job Duties
- perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded and complete all required paperwork accurately
- move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule and unload products into designated customer storage areas
- perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy and verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
