The role of the CDL-A Driver within Performance Foodservice is pivotal to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of America’s food supply chain. This position involves operating tractor trailers or straight trucks primarily on intrastate and interstate routes including local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR) assignments, shuttle runs, and drop routes, often requiring overnight travel. The driver is responsible for safely and timely transporting food and food-related products to customers while adhering to strict Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
