Employees benefit from competitive compensation packages and extensive benefits that start from day one, emphasizing health and wellness, education assistance, and retirement planning. This supportive environment encourages professional growth and offers opportunities to work in a safe, inclusive, and rewarding setting.
The CDL-A Driver role is an essential position at PFG, reflecting the company’s mission of delivering high-quality food products to customers nationwide. This position involves driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on local and interstate routes that include over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop assignments. The role requires adherence to Department of Transportation regulations and company safety policies to maintain the highest standards of operational excellence and driver safety.
This is a full-time position offering an attractive annual salary range between $80,000 and $100,000 with a 4 to 5-day workweek and availability needed Monday through Saturday. Successful candidates will undergo a two-week training period in Temple, Texas, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to perform effectively. New hires are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus under qualifying terms, which excludes individuals who have worked for a PFG-owned company in the past six months. The role offers not only competitive pay but also an excellent suite of benefits, including health and wellness programs starting on day one, employee stock purchase plans, 401(k) employer matching, paid time off, and education assistance.
In this role, the CDL-A Driver is responsible for maintaining safety and security of the tractor-trailer and freight during transportation, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, communicating professionally with customers and team members, and handling all delivery paperwork accurately.
