The CDL-A Driver role at Performance Foodservice is a vital position within the company’s food distribution system. These drivers manage the essential task of delivering food products safely and efficiently to a wide range of customers, ensuring timely arrival and maintaining the quality of goods throughout the transportation process. As the face of the company, drivers play a critical role not only in product delivery but also in building and maintaining strong customer relationships through professional and courteous interactions. The position requires a high level of responsibility and adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drivers will be operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes including intrastate, interstate, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight drives.

The role offers a work schedule typically spread across 4 to 5 days per week with necessary availability from Monday through Saturday, and begins with a two-week training program in Temple, Texas to ensure drivers are fully prepared for their duties. In addition, there is a $10,000 sign-on bonus available to eligible candidates, designed to attract qualified individuals who have not worked for any PFG-owned company within the last six months.
