Job Description

Homewatch Caregivers is a veteran and locally owned home care service provider that has proudly served its community for over 30 years. Renowned for its dedication to compassionate care, the company has been awarded Top Workplace and Provider of Choice awards for two consecutive years, reflecting its commitment to excellence and employee satisfaction. Specializing in personalized, in-home care, Homewatch Caregivers strives to match each client with the perfect caregiver to ensure they receive the highest quality of one-on-one support. Their mission centers around helping clients age comfortably and safely in their own homes while maintaining their independence and dignity. The organization values core principles such as Compassion, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence, which guide every aspect of their service delivery and team interaction.

The caregiver role at Homewatch Caregivers is ideal for individuals who have a genuine passion for helping others and improving the quality of life for seniors and those in need of assistance. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with flexible schedules that accommodate various preferences including days, evenings, overnights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts range from 3 to 12 hours to best suit each caregiver’s availability. Pay ranges from $19.50 to $21 per hour depending on experience and availability, presenting a competitive wage in the home healthcare industry.

Caregivers at Homewatch Caregivers play a vital part in the daily lives of their clients by providing engaging companionship, assisting with transfers, meals, and light housekeeping, and supporting personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. They also facilitate transportation for appointments and errands, aiding clients in maintaining their independence. This role allows caregivers to form meaningful connections and be the highlight of their client’s day through kindness, patience, and attentive support, especially for those living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Employment includes comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, sick pay, bonuses for shift pickups, mileage reimbursement, and access to ongoing training through Homewatch University to foster professional growth and skills enhancement.

The position requires caregivers to have strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills, a sincere desire to serve older adults, and the ability to provide both personal and companion care with compassion and patience. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable automobile are necessary due to the nature of some caregiving duties involving transportation. Background checks and reference verifications are standard to ensure client safety and maintain the company’s high standards. If you are motivated by service and wish to be part of a supportive team that values your contribution, Homewatch Caregivers presents a fulfilling career path where you can make a positive difference every day.
