Job Description

Homewatch Caregivers is a veteran and locally owned company that has been proudly serving its community for over 30 years. It has earned recognition as a Top Workplace and Provider of Choice for two consecutive years, reflecting its commitment to excellence and quality service. As a trusted provider of in-home caregiving, Homewatch Caregivers specializes in offering personalized one-on-one care to help clients age comfortably in their own homes. The company's core values of Compassion, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence drive every aspect of its operations, fostering a supportive and respectful environment both for clients and employees. Working at Homewatch means being part of a family that genuinely cares about enhancing the quality of life for older adults and individuals who require assisted care. The company is dedicated to matching clients with the ideal caregiver to ensure personalized, attentive, and compassionate service tailored to each individual's needs.

This caregiver role offers an enriching career opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support to others. As a caregiver with Homewatch, you will play a pivotal role in making a meaningful difference in the lives of your clients daily. The position involves delivering engaging companionship, assisting with daily activities such as transfers, meals, light housekeeping, and supporting personal care needs including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Caregivers also facilitate transportation and accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands. Special support is provided for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's, with caregivers trained to recognize and respond to their unique needs with patience and understanding. The role demands strong communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, a compassionate demeanor, and an ability to foster autonomy in older adults.

Homewatch offers a flexible work environment, with full-time and part-time schedules available, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Shift lengths vary from 3 to 12 hours, allowing caregivers to select a schedule that fits their lifestyle. Compensation ranges from $19.50 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience and availability. In addition to competitive pay, benefits include paid time off, sick pay, bonuses for picking up extra shifts, mileage reimbursement when using a personal vehicle for transportation, and access to ongoing training through Homewatch University. Full-time employees working 30 or more hours weekly are also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance. Caregivers welcome the opportunity to be the best part of their clients' day by providing vital support and companionship while making a positive impact on their wellbeing and quality of life. This role is ideal for compassionate individuals who seek a rewarding career in caregiving and enjoy working within a team that values integrity and excellence.
