Job Description
TheKey is the largest provider of private pay in-home care for aging seniors in North America. Recognized as an Employer of Choice, the company is committed to transforming the lives of aging adults by providing compassionate, innovative, and professional caregivers who deliver personalized care in the comfort of their homes. TheKey prides itself on its local dedicated teams that offer exceptional support to caregivers, ensuring a positive and rewarding work environment. This approach not only fosters career development but also guarantees quality care for seniors, promoting their dignity, safety, and well-being.
As a Caregiver at TheKey, you will play a vital role in supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and other cognitive impairments. This role is centered around providing one-on-one personalized care that addresses the unique needs of each individual. Starting at competitive pay rates of $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for top pay, this position offers not only financial rewards but also the chance to build a meaningful career in a growing and essential industry. TheKey offers flexible schedules across all shifts to accommodate caregiver needs, supported by weekly pay options and even daily pay availability through PayActiv.
Your responsibilities will include providing cognitive and behavioral support by offering gentle reminders, redirection, and structured activities designed to reduce confusion and anxiety. Personal care activities such as assisting with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals will require patience and respect. Maintaining a safe and organized home environment through basic cleaning, laundry, and other housekeeping tasks is also essential. Transportation duties, including driving clients to appointments and running errands, add another layer to your caregiving service. Lastly, companionship activities such as conversation, music, memory games, or sensory activities tailored to cognitive needs help enrich clients' lives.
Joining TheKey means you will benefit from a comprehensive support system including 24/7 caregiver support, local management, paid training that encompasses virtual, online, and hands-on classes, and career development opportunities. The company also offers mileage reimbursement and various benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Referral bonuses and the Caribou Referral and Rewards program add incentive to grow within the team.
TheKey values caregivers who are dedicated, compassionate, and meet eligibility standards including at least one year of professional caregiving experience, being at least 18 years old, holding a valid driver's license with access to a fully insured personal vehicle, and willingness to commute a minimum of 30 minutes. These criteria ensure that the caregivers are well-equipped to provide the highest standard of care.
Overall, working at TheKey offers a rewarding opportunity to impact seniors in your community positively while advancing your career in a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic environment. Caregivers must meet state background screening requirements and eligibility to work in the US. Specific compensation and benefits can vary by location, highlighting the company's commitment to addressing individual caregiver and client needs.
