This role is specifically for a Meat Cutter at BJ's Wholesale Club, a vital position within the fresh food department.   • Knowledge of automatic and hand wrapping machines preferred

Job Duties

  • Receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats including grinds
  • Assist in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre-packed deli
  • Assist in rotisserie chicken area and full-service deli
  • Make special meat cuts and selections for members
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the meat department
  • Stock and rotate meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates
  • Clean and sanitize all meat department equipment and display areas
  • Inspect and store meat upon delivery ensuring quality standards
  • Receive and unpack meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses
  • Follow club policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties such as placing orders and working in other departments as needed
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
