The Experience Specialist role at UnityPoint Health - Meriter is a vital front-facing position aimed at enhancing the patient and visitor experience from the moment they enter the facility. This full-time employment opportunity operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering a stable and structured work environment. As an Experience Specialist, the individual plays a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive atmosphere for all guests. The position involves greeting patients and visitors warmly, guiding them efficiently to the appropriate departments, and assisting with various administrative tasks to streamline their visit.

Critical responsibilities include providing clear and professional information about healthcare services and procedures, keeping patients and their families updated on wait times and provider availability, and addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy and understanding. The Experience Specialist also aids with billing information, payment processes, and insurance-related questions, ensuring patients have a smooth and informed visit. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical records (EMR) system, which is essential for effective patient management and compliance with privacy standards.

This position requires handling telephone inquiries professionally, routing calls appropriately, and ensuring all interactions adhere to confidentiality protocols and UnityPoint Health’s standards.
